Designing Learning That Drives Performance
About Me
I'm Mauricio Marquez, a Learning Designer at Delta Air Lines with a B.S. in Computer Science from Florida Southern College. I design and develop interactive, multi-modal learning solutions for a corporate training environment.
Proficient in Articulate Storyline 360 and Rise, I apply adult learning principles, instructional methodologies, and accessibility standards to build high-quality eLearning, simulations, and job aids. I also extend those tools through JavaScript and xAPI integrations to create more sophisticated learner experiences.
My frontline background as a CES at Delta gives me a unique perspective — I understand the real-world performance gaps that well-designed training must address, and I build with that alignment in mind.
Core Competencies
Featured Work
Led end-to-end project management for a multi-module eLearning initiative focused on hiring processes and interview skills. Coordinated subject matter experts, managed content review and feedback cycles, and tracked all deliverables within the project plan — while also serving as the primary developer in Articulate Storyline 360.
Prototyped xAPI (Tin Can) integrations within Articulate Storyline to enable advanced learner tracking and data reporting beyond standard SCORM. The prototype supported Levels 1–3 evaluation analysis, demonstrating how richer behavioral data can inform continuous course improvement.
This is a game I've built based on classic video JRPGs. The concept was to have the player navigate a maze and fight monsters while solving puzzles and quests. The player also has the ability to draw their own map while traversing.
The game is built from the ground up on a completely original engine. It was presented as a senior project in college. I primarily worked on map design, dialogue, battle system, and various background processes.
